1. Eudora 5.1 stopped working. What do I do?
We recommend that you upgrade to Eudora 5.2. Eudora 5.1 does not have support for secure connections to the mailserver, which the new server tries to negotiate. If you want to continue using 5.1, you will have to turn off SSL to get Eudora to work. From the Eudora menu, choose "Tools" and then "Options". In the window that shows up choose "Checking Mail". Set "Secure Sockets when Reciving" to "Never". Make sure the Mail Server is set to "mail.engr.uky.edu". If this does not fix your problem send us mail at help@engr.uky.edu

2. How do I setup Eudora 5.2 to work with the new server?
Eudora 5.2 supports secure POP and IMAP connections. You should set up Eudora to take advantage of this feature. Detailed instructions for configuring Eudora are here.

3. How do I setup Outlook to work with the new server?
Newer versions of Outlook support secure connections with the mail server. You should setup Outlook to take advantage of this feature. Instructions for configuring Outlook are here.

4. What is POP? What is IMAP?
POP (Post Office Protocol) and IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) are two ways of accessing mail stored on a mailserver. The two differ in the way messages are accessed by clients.
